On February 24-27, the 15th International Trade Fair for Home Textiles – Central Asia Home textile, organized by Central Asia Trade Exhibitions – the exhibition company of Kazakhstan, will take place in Almaty.
The Turkmen Economic Society “Muhammet Balkan” will take part in this trade show also. Being a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the private firm is specialized in the production of various carpet products under the trade mark “Nowruz haly” made from acrylic yarn which is obtained from products of oil and gas processing.
The designer’s carpets of various styles, shapes and types (for kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, etc.) will be demonstrated at the fair. The weight of presented carpets in total will be 350 kg.
Employees of the company are aimed to present the new production to the foreign partners as well as to arrange export supplies to the countries of Central Asia.
The partner company is “Abadan haly” Public Corporation, which is supplying the enterprise with raw materials for production. The raw stuff is home-made from the products of oil-and-gas processing.
“Muhammet Balkan” is a multi-specialized company. In addition to carpet products, it is engaged in the construction of various facilities, including industrial objects, educational institutions, sports complexes, etc.

The exhibition of reproductions of paintings by Michelangelo Merizi da Caravaggio, deployed in the Turkmen capital, which allowed looking at the work of the great painter through the prism of digital technologies, aroused the great interest of the Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital. Organizers - the Embassy of Italy in Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Culture and Foreign Affairs of our country - timed the exposition to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.

As noted in an interview with the culture attaché of the Italian diplomatic representation Mikela Sandini, the residents of Baku and Tbilisi become acquainted with the works of Caravaggio. The exhibition from Ashgabat will go to Tashkent. "Choosing this route," noted Signora Sandini, "the organizers wanted to recreate one of the segments of the Great Silk Road. The digital technology use has allowed with a high degree of certainty to transmit every detail of the works of Caravaggio. Thanks to this, visitors, acquainted with the pictures, experience the same visual and emotional sensations, as well as from the contemplation of the original. Ashgabat residents have an opportunity to get acquainted with the 19th canvases of Caravaggio in the Museum of Fine Arts and from the 14th - in the nearby gallery of the Academy of Arts. "

Michelangelo Merizi was born in 1571. He received the pseudonym of Caravaggio at a place in Lombardy, where he was from. His father served as a majordomo and architect of the Marquis and Caravaggio. Michelangelo studied in the studio of the Milanese artist Simon Peterzano before the beginning of the 1590's. Back at that time, the beginning artist showed great potential, which required his release. In 1593, a young Lombard goes to Rome. However, Rome did not meet a talented young man with welcoming embrace. Caravaggio happened to live in misery, to work for hire until the fashionable for those times painter Cesare D'Arpino did not take him as an assistant for writing still life’s in his monumental paintings. At this time are born under the brush of Caravaggio, the paintings "Sick Bacchus" (the master painted a self-portrait in the image of the ancient Greek god Bacchus) and "A young man with a Basket of Fruits".

09.02.2018. In the Museum of Fine Arts, within the framework of the Days of Iranian Culture was opened an exhibition of Applied and Decorative Arts of Iranian masters, which aroused great interest of Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital. Stylistically, the exposition, organized by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, resembled a bright and distinctive oriental bazaar.

One of the sections of the exhibition introduced the male and female costumes of the peoples living in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Altogether about 60 ethnic groups live there, the Ashgabat residents got acquainted with traditional clothes of 14. In general, these are wedding dresses, which are still widely used by Iranian brides. It is noteworthy that ethnic Turkmen living in Iran, unchanged, retained their traditional clothes.

In large cities of Iran, such as Isfahan, Shiraz, Mashhad, Abadan and others, exist workshops of artists and artisans creating surprisingly beautiful objects - dishes, lamps, jewelry, paintings and much more. Pottery artist Mojtaba Eddi introduced not only light and thin ceramic products, but also gave a master class to volunteers try themselves as potters. Modjaba to do this sat for a single potter's wheel, for the other - the visitor of the exhibition, and the process of creating a clay pot started.

Afi Vedzdani is the artist on wood - the author of such delightful works, as the heads of horses from wooden flyers. Vedzhdani practicing the "saw blade" for 24 years already and has a jigsaw for making amazing patterns. Collected from different varieties of wood, small details in his talented hands turn into lace, painted in harmonious colors. Afi admired his skill and openness. In memory of his acquaintance, he gave the wooden birds he had made-symbols of happiness.

07.02.2018. A striking event in cultural life of the capital was the opening of the exhibition “Caravaggio in Turkmenistan”, organized under the auspices of the Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as the Italian Embassy in our country.
The exposition, deployed simultaneously at two exhibition venues, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Gallery of the Academy of Arts, introduces works of the greatest Italian painter and Early Baroque artist Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (1571-1610).
The exhibition will help to take a look at Caravaggio’s art through the alembic of digital technology. Reproductions, perfectly executed, correspond to the works’ actual size, and special lighting, which enhances the light-to-dark transitions, creates an impressive visual effect.
Caravaggio is considered to be the founder of the realism in European painting of the 17th century. His early works – “Sick Bacchus”, “The Fortune Teller”, “The Lute Player” had already been recognized to be innovative in spirit. Light-to-dark contrasts give monumentality features to his pictures, and the heroes of the paintings are endowed with zest for life and full of emotions that makes an indelible impression on the viewer.
The exhibition will last until February 25.


02.02.2018. The International Exhibition of Industrial Products, Equipment and Modern Technologies completed its work in Ashgabat. The large-scale forum demonstrated the achievements of the domestic industry, as well as the huge potential of this sphere, to which President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attaches the most important role in the Country Development Program for the next seven years.

The current review as an effective platform for presenting advanced scientific ideas and effective solutions from chief world leaders in the field of industrial development, exchange of experience has become an important step in the search for new directions and formats for productive interaction. The exhibition highlighted the great interest of the foreign business community in strengthening its positions in the Turkmen market, which today attracts attention with high dynamics of development, good opportunities for establishing and expanding partnership ties on a long-term basis.

The solid composition of its participants, including international corporations, national trade associations for import-export, large industrial diversified companies and manufacturing companies, consulting organizations, testifies to the recognition of Turkmenistan's successes on the way of industrial growth, increase of competitiveness of the country's branches in the world market.

The large-scale exposition covered practically all key areas of the national economic complex - fuel and energy complex, electric power industry, communications, construction, chemical and textile industries, gas and petrochemicals, construction materials, food, trade, services.
