Representatives of different foreign transport and logistic companies, international organizations, governmental structures and investors applied to participate in the forum.

It is planned that agenda will include the following subjects – role of the transport and logistics in national economy, future of logistic system, prospects and development of communication infrastructure, railway branch, river and maritime transport and other.

Having listened to the information on preparation to the conference during the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on April 22, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov mentioned that transport and communication sector is one of the key segments of international economy affecting the efficiency and balance of the world’s economic relations. Turkmenistan holds active position in the subjects of international cooperation in this direction including in the UN format, proposing initiatives and implementing large infrastructural projects for establishment of transnational transit and transport corridors together with international partners.

Having highlighted the importance of the coming forum, aimed at further development of beneficial international cooperation in this strategic direction, the Head of the State gave number of specific instructions for provision of high organizational level of International transport and Logistics Conference.


16.04.17. A delegation of Turkmen businessmen visited the Russian capital at the invitation of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI). The Russian and Turkmen entrepreneurs discussed issues related to enhancing export opportunities at a round table meeting at the MCCI.

Guided by the recommendations of the tenth meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Turkmen Commission held in Moscow this year, the visiting Turkmen businessmen presented an exposition of Turkmen goods for the potential Russian buyers.

The round-table meeting participants watched a film about the economic development and greater export opportunities of Turkmenistan. The meeting participants exchanged views and identified the dominating areas of development of the trade and economic partnership between the relevant enterprises and organizations of the two countries and established new business contacts.

The delegations exchanged recommendations on ways to enhance export opportunities in the near future.


06.04.2017. Ashgabat hosted a business forum attended by business communities of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea. In addition, a regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Korean Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation was held.

A representative delegation of the friendly country, including about 40 executives and specialists of the Financial Exchange, the leading Korean companies and corporations, as well as large educational and scientific centers of the Republic of Korea arrived in the Turkmen capital to take participation in these meetings. For the Turkmen part a forum was represented by officials from the trade and financial-economic complex of the country, a number of higher educational institutions, as well as members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.

During a forum business emphasis was made on a great potential for development of cooperation in the fields of economy, and increasing trade turnover and investments, which reflects a great interest among business circles of the Republic of Korea in the Turkmen market.

Presentations made by representatives of the Turkmen party provided the indicators demonstrating the impressive resource and export potential of the national economy. The comprehensive programs, which are implemented at present, are aimed at the complete modernization of the economy, creating the high-capacity industrial infrastructure, introducing advanced technologies, and assimilating the best world experience and practice.

Today, on March 18, the exhibition of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan was completed in Ashgabat, within the framework of which the conference dedicated to priority directions of development of the non-state sector of the national economy was held.

Organizing and holding a representative review, traditionally timed to the anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, this public organization carried out jointly with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country.

For nine years since the formation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan it has become a major public organization. Today in Ashgabat and in all velayats of the country, the branches of the Union and the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs created in 2012 operate.

Strengthening the export potential of Turkmenistan and establishing profitable business contacts is facilitated by the international activities of the JPST.

Today, on March 17, an opening ceremony of the exhibition of industrialists and businessmen of Turkmenistan and a conference of members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan took place in the turkmen capital.

A large-scale review of the achievements and prospects of the development of the non-state sector of the country's economy is traditionally timed to the day of the formation of this large public organization.

In the opening ceremony of the forum, the participants listened with great attention to the welcoming words of the President of Turkmenistan that addressed to the forum participants.

In the framework of the show of the achievements of domestic entrepreneurship there was conference of UMET, on the agenda of which was rendered a discussion about main areas of further development of the private sector.

Tomorrow the exhibition will finish its work.
