Turkmen-Iranian business forum which opened on the eve in the capital was held within the framework of the XIV specialized exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran, dedicated to various areas of trade and economic cooperation at which the export products and advanced developments of a friendly country were presented. To participate in the annual review of the achievements of the Iranian production complex, a solid delegation of businessmen headed by the Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Shariatmadari arrived in Turkmenistan.
The significance of the industry exhibition and joint business forum traditionally held in Ashgabat as an effective platform for discussing topical issues of cooperation was noted during on the eve meeting of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with Mohammad Shariatmadari. The intention of the two states was underscored to promote further activation of business relations, stimulation of investment activity and increase in volumes of mutual trade turnover. The present review is also aimed at achieving these goals, confirming the desire of industrial circles of Iran to diversify trade and economic ties with our country.
Consultations and working negotiations of specialists from various fields, discussion of opportunities for building up business cooperation, establishing direct contacts between partners are held on the exhibition sites.
Business forum held in the conference room of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry demonstrated mutual interest in expanding fruitful cooperation in its key areas, participation in joint projects of national and regional scale.
Heads of 65 Iranian companies and enterprises representing industrial centers of Khorasan, Mazandaran, Gulistan, Birjand city, as well as the specialized economic zone of Serakhs and others took part in the meeting. From the Turkmen side representatives of the sectoral ministries, departments and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs were represented.

01.03.2018. XIV specialized exposition of the Islamic Republic of Iran has started its work in Trade and Industrial Chamber. Delegation of the heads and representatives of more than 60 Iranian companies chaired by Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Shariatmadari arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the forum. The delegations include old partners of Turkmenistan that have many years of productive cooperation experience in different spheres. However, considerable part of the exhibitors are the companies for which current review is a starting point for the demonstration of its products in our country and for study of the opportunities of joint work with Turkmen colleagues.

Members of the Government, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, branch ministries and departments, local business circles, non-governmental organizations mass media took part in the opening ceremony.

The participants have listened with the great attention to the greeting message of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov that were addressed to the participants of specialized exhibition and joint business forum.

Addressing the greetings to the participants and the guests of the ceremony, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Shariatmadari expressed the gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his personal input to the consolidation of peace and stability in the region, expansion of fruitful cooperation and friendship between two nations. The Head of Iranian delegation highlighted that current large-scale forum would support the achievement of new level in the expansion of bilateral beneficial cooperation and successful realization of joint projects in trade and economic sphere.

01.03.2018. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the greetings to the participants of XIV specialized exhibition of the Islamic Republic of Iran organized under Turkmen – Iranian business forum. The Head of the State highlighted in his message that these events, which are held in Ashgabat in the year under the slogan “Turkmenistan – the Heart of the Great Silk Road”, would give strong impulse to the expansion of multilateral Turkmen – Iranian relations and trade and economic cooperation.
Thousands years old history of Turkmen – Iranian relations serves as reliable base for beneficial partnership. At present, powerful industrial branches are formed up and modern facilities are built owing to economic reforms in Turkmenistan. For these purposes, Turkmen state is interested in cooperation with Iranian businessmen for the promotion of local goods in the world and regional markets, - the message says.
International cooperation is very important in implementation of advanced technologies and scientific achievements to national economy as well as in its modernization according to the world’s standards.
Special role is given to Joint Committee on economic cooperation and to the meetings of the representatives of business circles of both countries in the development of Turkmen – Iranian trade and economic relations. During Turkmen – Iranian forum, representatives of two countries will present wide opportunities for the negotiations that are to support the consolidation of economic cooperation and exchange of the opinions on priority vectors of beneficial partnership, - Turkmen leader highlighted.
Long-term cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran includes the most important directions comprehensively meeting the interests of both countries. These relations serve to peace, neighbourhood, sustainable development and prosperity of entire region. I’m confident that the agreements between the entrepreneurs of two countries reached during large-scale forum held in Ashgabat would open new opportunities for the expansion of trade and economic partnership, - the message of the President says.

27.02.2018. On 1-3 March 2018, the capital of Oman, Muscat will host an international handicrafts exhibition.
As reported by the Sultanate Public Authority for Craft Industries, the participation in the major international event was confirmed by the leading countries in handicraft heritage such as Turkmenistan, Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria, Sudan, Iran, India, Sri Lanka, China, Malaysia, Uzbekistan and Nigeria.
The show, which will be arranged in the tourist spot – the picturesque Qurum Park, will feature innovative directions in handicraft processing of such materials as glass, silver, copper, wool and natural dyed fabrics. Guests will have the opportunity to buy antiques, ceramic and pottery items.
The exhibition is aimed at maintaining a spirit of competition in the market between craft projects and craftsmen. And due to the extensive demonstration of various types of arts and crafts, the organizers hope to enhance the demand among the youth for artistic crafts.
The exhibition is timed with the celebration of Omani Craftsman Day, traditionally marked on 3 March and symbolizes respect for social heritage, tribute for the professions of ancestors and the preservation of the national identity of the country.

On February 24-27, the 15th International Trade Fair for Home Textiles – Central Asia Home textile, organized by Central Asia Trade Exhibitions – the exhibition company of Kazakhstan, will take place in Almaty.
The Turkmen Economic Society “Muhammet Balkan” will take part in this trade show also. Being a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the private firm is specialized in the production of various carpet products under the trade mark “Nowruz haly” made from acrylic yarn which is obtained from products of oil and gas processing.
The designer’s carpets of various styles, shapes and types (for kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms, etc.) will be demonstrated at the fair. The weight of presented carpets in total will be 350 kg.
Employees of the company are aimed to present the new production to the foreign partners as well as to arrange export supplies to the countries of Central Asia.
The partner company is “Abadan haly” Public Corporation, which is supplying the enterprise with raw materials for production. The raw stuff is home-made from the products of oil-and-gas processing.
“Muhammet Balkan” is a multi-specialized company. In addition to carpet products, it is engaged in the construction of various facilities, including industrial objects, educational institutions, sports complexes, etc.
