09.02.2019. 17 transactions have been registered at the trades of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
For foreign currency, businessmen from Panama have procured straight run gasoline produced at Seydi Refinery. In addition, representatives of business circles from Russia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan have procured colourless glass, Portland cement and cotton yarn. Total amount of transaction was around 6 million US dollars.
For local currency, businessmen from Russian and great Britain have bought cotton yarn to the amount of more than 3,200,000 manats.

08.02.2019. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held regular video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers where outcomes of work of the branches of national economy in January have been summed up and current subjects of the state life have been discussed.
Having announced the agenda, the Head of the State gave floor to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G. Myradov who reported on macroeconomic indicators for January.
The Vice-premier informed that the growth rates of the GDP was 6.2 percent comparing with the same period of 2018.
According to the information from all ministries and department, in general, the volume of production for the period under review is 4.9 percent higher comparing with the same period of the last year.
The indicator of the retail turnover for January 2019 has grown by 19 percent comparing with the same period of the last year.
By the outcomes of the first month, the revenue of the State budget was executed to the amount of 1.4 billion manats while the expenditure to the amount of 1 billion manats.

07.02.2019. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a meeting with the deputy corps of the Mejlis where objectives of National Parliament have been specified and priority directions of law-making work in the context of the Programme of social and economic development of the country on 2019 – 2025 have been outlined.
Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of political parties, non-governmental organizations and mass media took part in the meeting.
Having greeted the participants, the Head of the State addressed the with speech.
Having noted that our country has proven to the world the ability to provide the dynamics of its own development, having reached important levels in social and economic progress, the President stated with delight significant contribution of the deputies of the Mejlis in this success, improvement of legislation base and expressed cordial gratitude to the parliamentarians.
Time does not stay still. The world is changing. New technology and large-scale projects come up. We have recently adopted the Programme of social and economic development of the country in 2019 – 2025 to keep pace with the world economy, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said, having highlighted that we have to work hard and honestly all together – the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the Government and society, for its implementation.

06.02.2019. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov who arrived in our country on working visit.
Having expressed sincere gratitude for spared time, the guest conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the Head of Turkmen State on behalf of President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin who confirmed invariable commitment of Russian side to traditional relations of friendship and fruitful cooperation with Turkmenistan.
Having warmly greeted the guest, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that comprehensive development of versatile relations with Russian Federation is among priority vectors of foreign policy of our country. Addressing return greetings to the leaders of Russian Federation, the Head of Turkmenistan stated with delight high level of interstate dialog, which is built on the principles of respect, constructiveness and strategic partnership.
During interested exchange of the visions on current situation and future cooperation, President of Turkmenistan and his guest have paid special attention to previous agreements including those that have been achieved during official visit of President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to Turkmenistan in 2017.
It was highlighted that the Agreement on Strategic Partnership between Turkmenistan and Russian Federation, which came into effect and opens wide opportunities for productive cooperation in different fields including political spheres, rapid development of traditional trade, economic and humanitarian relations, is to become the foundation for the implementation of all plans.

05.02.2019. The Trade and Industrial Chamber of Turkmenistan hosted International Media Forum, which was organized by the Foreign Ministry of our country and dedicated to the first Caspian Economic Forum in Avaza National tourist zone on August 12 this year.
Representatives of major world mass media – news agencies, TV channels, newspapers and magazines from Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Russia, took part in the event. Heads and representatives of Turkmen ministries, departments and mass media have been invited to tell about coming events in our country to the journalists.
As is known, the initiative to hold the first Caspian Economic Forum in our country was proposed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the V Summit of the Heads of Caspian States. According to the Head of the State, this Forum has to become permanent platform for multilateral economic dialog with wide participation of the members of the Governments, business and academic circles, representatives of international organizations and it has to be held on regular basis in each of Caspian states in turn.
It is worth reminding that it was our country, which proposed the initiative on the first Summit of the Heads of Caspian States.
