21.07.2018. 31 transactions were registered past week at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

Businessmen from the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan purchased, in foreign currency, liquefied natural gas produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries. Diesel fuel produced at the Seydi Oil Refinery was bought by representatives of business circles of Switzerland, Afghanistan etc. In addition, cotton yarn, household cotton, Portland cement and clear glass sheet were also sold in foreign currency. Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan were the buyer countries. The total value of transactions exceeded 36 million 258 thousand U.S. dollars.

Cotton yarn worth 3 million manats was purchased in local currency by businessmen from Canada. Cotton lint and cotton motes worth over 184 thousand manats were purchased by local entrepreneurs for the domestic market.

21.07.2018. Awaza health resort was commissioned in the city of Turkmenbashi. The solemn opening ceremony was attended by Turkmenistan’s senior government officials, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and other dignitaries.

The ground-breaking ceremony with participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took place in May 2016. And today, on the Day of Health and Medical Industry Workers, the new resort was added to the network of health resort establishments of our country.

The complex with a maximum capacity of 200 guests occupies the area of approximately 19 thousand square meters.

The 9-storey centers has advanced medical equipment by leading global manufacturers, and can provide a wide range of curative and rehabilitative services and detection of various diseases including respiratory diseases, musculoskeletal disorders, diseases of the nervous system, endocrine and cardiovascular disorders etc.

The resort has the following departments: balneotherapy and mud therapy; hydrotherapy with pools and spa; consultation and diagnosis; rehabilitation, physiotherapy and medical fitness; radiography; ultrasonography; electrocardiography; electrotherapy; therapeutic massage and acupuncture; clinical laboratories etc. It offers qualified medical assistance by otolaryngologists, dentists, gynecologists and other professionals.

21.07.2018. The opening ceremonies of aquapark were held in the evening in Avaza National tourist zone. The project is accomplished by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, which makes big contribution to the development of national tourist zone.

New aquapark is represented by large complex, which includes water amusements and facilities that are able to satisfy the highest requirements of the tourists of various age categories. Unique facility includes summer and winter aquapark, shopping centre, dozens of shops, which offer great variety of goods, supermarket, around 30 cafes and restaurants, bistro, amphitheatre for 1640 seats, hotel, artificial mountains, lakes, waterfalls, mountain springs.

Children art bands met high-rank guests with joyful songs and stirring dances. After official opening ceremony of the aquapark, the participants of the event went to its territory looking around its amenities.

This space has been already studied by children. They swam, jump in water, enjoy on water slides. The air was literally ringing from numerous children voices, laughter, joyful emotions and excitement.

Total area of the complex is around 30 hectares. Central building, the 3-storey indoor aquapark, occupies 41 thousand square meters and designated for swimming in any season.

To transform our nation into a comprehensively developed, prospering country, we have successfully implemented major long-term oriented reforms and conducted enormous works to shape the national healthcare model. 20.07.2018. On 18 July 2018, the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the United Nations, together with Permanent Missions of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of India, held a presentation headlined “Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India Gas Pipeline: New Energy Silk Road to Provide Access to Reliable, Sustainable and Modern Energy For All” at the UNDP headquarters in New York.

A thematic photo exhibition was organized as part of the event that attended by the delegation of our country, representatives of UNDP, EU and UN member states. In addition, a special video presentation prepared by TAPI Pipeline Company Limited was shown to the attendees.

During the presentation, representatives of Afghanistan, Pakistan and India emphasized that the TAPI pipeline project was of particular importance for the socio-economic development of participating countries and the region as a whole, for safeguarding its energy security.

The attendees welcomed Turkmenistan’s steps towards promoting the TAPI project as a new energy Silk Road of our time that will provide access to energy for all.

The significance of TAPI and other infrastructure projects is reflected in the Resolution extending the mandate of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan that was adopted in March at the meeting of the UN Security Council. As is known, the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline was inaugurated in December 2015. The laying of the Afghanistan section of the pipeline and the fiber-optic line along the Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan (TAP) route was launched in February of the current year. The Serhetabat–Torghundi railway was also commissioned then.
