06.11.2018. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of the Turkish Republic, Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the guest reaffirmed the high interest of businessmen in Turkey in strengthening the mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan. Mr. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that Turkey admired the remarkable achievements of Turkmenistan in all spheres of the state development.

Thanking for the kind words, the President of Turkmenistan noted that the agreements, achieved at the top level, the solid legal and regulatory basis, as well as the ties of friendship and the historical and cultural affinity of the peoples of Turkmenistan and Turkey served as a reliable foundation for the efficient cooperation. In this regard it was emphasized the enormous potential for developing the full-scale collaboration.

05.11.2018. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held video conference working session with the participation of certain vice-premiers and Hyakim of Ashgabat. Key issues of social and economic development of the country, preparation to remarkable events as well as other priority objectives have been reviewed at the session.

First, the Head of the State called Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E. Orazgeldiyev who is in charge of agricultural industry. The Vice-premier reported on the course of seasonal field works. In addition, the official reported about the preparation to coming remarkable events, in particular, to Harvest festival, which is widely observed in the country.

Having noted that decision of the first session of the People’s Council play great role in fulfilment of the obligations undertaken by the farmers, the Head of the State highlighted that current achievements of cotton growers are bright evidence of this fact. The emasures taken in this direction meet modern requirements.

05.11.2018. The success of the cotton growers is a result of the joint efforts of all agricultural workers and the large-scale transformations taken place in the industry as part of the agrarian reform initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The efficient use of land and water resources, the regional specialization of the agro-industrial complex, systematic introduction of market relations elements into the agricultural sector and a number of important aspects have received a new understanding and concrete embodiment in the modern agrarian policy of Turkmenistan.

On November 2, 2018, Astana – the capital of Kazakhstan hosted the Council meetings of the Heads of Governments of CIS. The delegation from Turkmenistan has participated in the meetings and the delegation was headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
During restricted meetings, participants have exchanged views on cooperation in urgent economic issues of CIS countries.
15 agenda items on various fields have been discussed by the participants.
It has been also decided to organize next Council meetings of the Heads of Governments of CIS in Ashgabat, in May 2019.

02.11.2018. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received acting minister of finance of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi.

The guest thanked the Turkmen leader for taking the time to meet and conveyed to him the warm greetings and best wishes from President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi noted that Afghanistan highly commended the foreign policy strategy pursued by neutral Turkmenistan that served as an important factor of maintaining stability and sustainable development in the region.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked the guest for his kind words and returned the greetings to his Afghan colleague. The head of state confirmed Turkmenistan’s commitment to the traditionally constructive dialog with the neighboring country and the readiness to provide all possible assistance in its economic and cultural revival.

In the course of the meeting, the Turkmen leader and his guest exchanged views on the potential for scaling up the bilateral partnership and outlined trade and economics, transport and communication, and power engineering as its priority areas.
