IRI delegation visits Ashgabat

A high-level delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran led by Deputy Minister of Oil, Managing Director of the National Iranian Gas Company Javad Owji was on a visit to the Turkmen capital. The priority fields and prospects for traditional Turkmen-Iranian cooperation successfully built on good neighbourliness and mutually beneficial partnership were a focus of the meeting at the Government of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Foreign diplomats were briefed on various aspects of the implementation of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy aimed at developing wide constructive cooperation, including with the major international organisations.A briefing held at the Ministry of Foreign of Turkmenistan for foreign diplomats accredited to the country focused on the results of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy in the current year, the priorities and plans of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the coming year 2011 based on the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the last one ion the current year, to sum up the results gained this year in the past year, consider a number of important policy issues and the progress in the preparations for the New Year’s celebrations.
Presenting the meeting agenda, the Turkmen leader heartily congratulated those present and all citizens of Turkmenistan on the coming new 2011 year and wished good health, family welfare, happiness and every success in their work for the benefit of the Motherland.
