The exhibition of small and medium businesses became a vivid embedment of the state policy aimed at encouraging the private sector of the national economy. A wide range and high quality of goods produced in the country, the level of modernization of production facilities, the healthy competition among producers show that Turkmen small and medium businesses are rapidly developing today.
The exhibition of Turkmen manufacturers and entrepreneurs organized to mark the third anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan closed at the Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat.

A wide range and high quality of goods produced in the country, the level of modernization of production facilities, the healthy competition among producers show that Turkmen small and medium businesses are rapidly developing today.
A rapid growth of the private sector of the national economy and its increasing in the GDP volume is a result of the state policy pursued by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to support business initiatives.
Over 140 Turkmen private companies and entrepreneurs participated in the forum organized the Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
The enterprises of the food, construction and building materials industries and the consumer goods and services sectors were represented in the main sections of the exposition arranged by sectors. It should be noted that they use the profit for modernization of production facilities and application of innovations that significantly improves the quality of commodities. As a result, most of the commodities manufactured by entrepreneurs enhance the competitiveness on the domestic and foreign markets.
Expansion and development of the production basis of Turkmen basis – modern enterprises with industrial output testify to a dynamic growth of the private sector of the national economy. Many of them including the Gush toplumy poultry farm, the Hosh zaman factory, the enterprises such as the Hasar confectionery factory, the Bereketli factory producing cooked meats, the Aybolek furniture factory and others supply goods in sufficient amounts to the consumer market and have a positive impact on the pricing policy.
Thousands of citizens and guests visited the two-day exhibition that presented a wide range of sausages, baked products, ice-cream and beverages, fruit and vegetables, pastries, building materials, furniture, clothes, footwear and many other consumer goods produced in Turkmenistan.
The technology and construction sections widely represented in the exposition aroused keen interest among specialists.
They interested in establishing economic relations visited the pavilions of the private enterprises such as Tyaze enjam, Ak toprak, Yhlas Kagyz, Altyn nesil, Govshutbent, Beyik bina and others. Today, Turkmen businessmen carry out the activity in such spheres as setup of high-tech equipment, autonomous energy supply units and pumps, operation, maintenance and repair heavy of construction equipment. Turkmen companies strengthen their positions in the construction sector and act as general contractors of construction projects.
Traditionally, entrepreneurial activities in the services and trade sector are brisk. Public catering, restaurant business, art galleries, training courses, legal consultations and employment agencies, consulting firms specializing in the economic sector, production of promotional products and exterior design – the demand for these kinds of activity is a key factor promoting their business.
The conference conducted in the framework of the forum brought together members of the Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs, leading economists, specialists of financial and economic institutions and higher educational institutions. The discussion focused on the issues related to encouragement and development of entrepreneurship and the scientific basis of business management. The participants identified the key aspects of collaboration between state-run institutions and businesses under modern conditions of diversification of production and economic growth.
During the forum closing ceremony the conference participants evaluated the high level of organization that corresponded to the spirit and content of the ongoing market reforms in Turkmenistan. The organizers and participants of the exhibition adopted the address, in which they expressed gratitude to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
